LOGICALLY... it is to provide context rather than just PLAIN repetitions of fighting or training, that will produce just a bland anime plot tbh

They didn't skip anything and there wasn't much to see. What are you talking about? You do not gain merit in war "instantly." Like I said, you're only interested in action, this isn't the anime for you. You remind me of those overlord whiners screaming for more action, when Overlord was never overly about action. Kindom HAS more action because it's a warring state so there will be more large battles, but they have a lot of story building to do to lead to said battles. Small skirmishes and the like are not even worth mentioning which is all Xin does in the downtime between major events.

This 'Political intrigue in Qin' arc is arguably the slowest one in the series. The author does tend to drag some battles/arcs out for a long time... but they never fail to impress by the end.

I'd give it a seven. I think the pacing was actually really good for a 25 ep season and I mean reallly good. I think it lost momentum because the MC's steam is evaporating too quickly. He spent most of the last two seasons coming across as a bit of a dunderhead and I'd be surprised if anyone can seriously picture him as even a minor general, let alone a great one. Even in this episode he didn't present as much more than a yappie ankle bitter.

Story line, progression and what not was great though. Only thing I didn't like about that is that the attention was very divided. Though I think an either or situation would have turned monotonous, given how they layed it out. They could have gone a little deeper into the battles without having to stretch it.

Shin already is the lowest level ranking of General, he was attached to a full general to better learn how to command. If you think Shin is a yappie ankle biter, you and I have been watching 2 very different animes.

Shin is a bit of an idiot, but he knows how to lead and inspire people, thats why he has a tactician. If you haven't been paying attention, most of the generals shown have tacticians. A generals role is to command, and Shin does it very well. If Shins job was to come up with the strats, he'd be a tactician and not a general.

and you obviously didn't watch the invasion arc if you think XIN hasn't shown any general qualities. he is an instinctive type, and it shows

For me Xin is a duelist not a general, for me a general is someone like Li Mu or Wang Jian. As far I don't saw in him yet many general skills just leap forward and kill all that got in his way. I mean I saw more general qualities in Duke Biao Gong than Xin so far, maybe the tactician just overshadow him, I would give more credit for wining battle to those who make the plan and decide the path to follow than the one who lead them on the field.

Xins tactician was kidnapped with no resistance whatsoever. On the other hand Xin has thought endless battles and survived this whole time. If Xin and the touch guys in his camp fall, his tactician will retreat. If Xins tacticians fall he can keep fighting.

He spent most of his time yelling or shock, surprise and awe. He's also had relatively little screen time. Even his action sequences have been few and far between. As a soldier he's already among the best, but as a general he is utterly unqualified, even after his mentor has passed. Also, a general may not need to be among the best of strategists but they should at least be a capable tactician. or they wouldn't be able to adapt with an always changing battlefield.

Solid season once again. pretty much thanks to the studio(s) adapting this for not fuking it up with CGI <3

Well, what can I say, at the end the three argue who will be the 6, I don't know what route the author will take but by the end I expect to be all three of them member of the 6 great, 2 of the four actual 5 great being killed or something like defecting.
If we are going after historical sources Meng Tian top both Wang Ben and Li Xin, Meng Tian is mentioned pretty much in Shi Ji, but mostly after unification, Wang Ben is credited with the conquest of a few kingdoms, and Xin is famous mostly for a big military failure, after he is mentioned to assist Wang Ben in his conquest. After this, the death of Xin and Wang Ben is not recorded they disappear from the history, as the story focus more on Meng Tian till his death that some say cause later the fall of Qin as it cause Li Mu death the fall of Zhao.

now the anime watchers are gona start their theories now: if Shin/Xin is Ka Rin/Wa Lin's lost brother in the battlefield because they both super strong and look alike loool

wouldnt be all that out of sorts as for what i remember he was from a village in south of qin / chin and was an orphan so only really the manhua ppl know. Or if there's a novel i suppose that would have aswers

As for Wa Lin (Ka Rin), she is a made up character and will not be related to Li Xin (Shin). It's more likely Li Mu and Li Xin (Shin) are related.

In the season 5 we need see a two year time jump at least. During that time Xin has to marry both Qiang and Liao. Yes everyone heard me right, polygamy was common that time so why not and of course Xin is an idiot despite being a strong warrior. Both part of his brain is full of Sh*t. He need both Qiang and Liao to clean that brain time to time. They also must have 3 kids as least, because Xin's only motivation is to became a great general. That's why he want's to help his king to unite middle kingdom. But he need a strong motivation like he needs to unite middle kingdom to create a war and violence free future for his children. And if Xin don't co-operate to have kids, then both Qiang and Liao should tie him up on a bed, take their turn to have their way with him or doing it same time, it's up to them. This way we can see a more mature Xin just like we saw a similar transformation of Vigita in Dragon ball.
